About Us
Lotus Evaluation is a consultancy specialising in monitoring, evaluation, research and learning for the international development and health sectors. Our extensive theoretical and practical experience, with a focus on the Asia Pacific, enables us to:

Our Services
Monitoring, evaluation and continuous learning
Lotus Evaluation has substantial experience in evaluation design and implementation – including formative and summative evaluations, mid-term reviews, providing ongoing MEL advisory services and embedding processes of continuous improvement and learning. Our MEL services include:
- MEL design – developing program logics, monitoring, evaluation and learning frameworks and evaluation plans
- Implementing evaluations – developing and using data collection plans, frameworks and tools
- Qualitative and quantitative data analysis
- Writing reports and developing other tools to disseminate findings

Research, design and appraisal
We have expertise in a variety of research processes, including conducting literature reviews and submitting ethics applications. We have written peer-reviewed journal articles and presented research at international conferences.
We have participated in the design of multi-million dollar international development programs and conducted formal appraisals of designs and proposals.

Our experience
Director: Dr Kathryn Dinh
Lotus Evaluation’s Director Dr Kathryn Dinh has more than 23 years of experience in international and community development, including monitoring, evaluation and learning both internationally (specialising in Asia and the Pacific) and in Australia. She has led the design and implementation of complex, multi-country evaluations of multi-million dollar international development programs and provided ongoing evaluation advice and capacity strengthening support to governments, consortiums NGOs and academic institutions. She has completed a PhD in evaluation at the School of Population Health, University of New South Wales.
